It all started with the introduction to the series, they worked very well on the selection of young Dexter, who could pass for his son. Actually, all the characters are written quite well, with the exception of “Deb”.

The actress they hired doesn’t look like her and can’t get her lines right. They wrote her dialogues well, it’s just that the actress doesn’t deliver them with the right attitude and timing.
